It Takes Two Entertainment, Hava Nagrilla's Entertainment Sponsor
There are good DJs and great DJs, then there is It Takes Two Entertainment.
A little about It Takes Two Entertainment.............
Mike and Ilisa Noble, founders of It Takes Two Entertainment, literally grew up with their business!
Mike was still in college back in 1993 when he realized his passion for performing. Originally a broadcast major, he switched to teaching, but was determined to become a DJ. He called on one of the top DJ firms in the area, hoping for an interview, but they never called back. Undaunted, he took his own Bar Mitzvah money and invested it in equipment and had the owner of the store teach him how to use it. “It was tough getting hired at 19, so I told people I was 25. I’m in my thirties now, and I still tell people I’m 25! Only now they don’t believe me…”
In an effort to woo his then-Bensalem High School ‘gal pal’ Ilisa Roberts, he locked-up her Saturday nights by recruiting her to help him work his parties. “We never had an official title,” she points out. “We just went from ‘friends’ to ‘engaged!’” Married in 1999, the talented duo now resides in Cherry Hill, NJ with their three young children, Jake, Paige, and Benjamin.
One of many and many Testimonials....
“Mike Noble is a very entertaining DJ and a very funny guy. I had a birthday party for my wife that was attended by over 100 people and they are all still asking me about Mike! They had so much fun! His personality and music selections contributed in a huge way to the success of the evening.”
These types of testimonials are all over It Takes Two Entertainments website www.ittakes2ent.com.
It Takes Two Entertainment is well known all throughout Philadelphia and South Jersey, check out this artical in The Voice http://www.ittakes2ent.com/VOICE.pdf
Golden Slipper Club and Charities would like to thank Mike and Ilisa Noble for being a proud sponsor of Hava NaGrilla.
Check out www.havanagrilla.com for more information about how you can be a sponsor as well.

The wide world of Kosher Salt

Kosher salt gets its name not because it follows the guidelines for kosher foods as written in the Torah (nearly all salt is kosher, including ordinary table salt), but rather because of its use in making meats kosher, by helping to extract the blood from the meat. Because kosher salt grains are larger than regular table salt grains, when meats are coated in kosher salt the salt does not dissolve readily; the salt remains on the surface of the meat longer to draw fluids out of the meat.
Various uses of Kosher Salt
Kosher salt can be used in nearly all applications, but it is not generally recommended for baking with recipes that use small amounts of liquid (wet ingredients). If there is not enough liquid, the kosher salt will not dissolve sufficiently, and this can result in small bits of salt in the resulting product; in certain applications this is undesirable. In recipes where there is enough liquid to dissolve all the salt, table salt can be replaced by kosher salt, but the volume must be adjusted. Because kosher grains occupy more volume (for equal weight) the volume of kosher salt should be increased. Because kosher salt grains can vary in size considerably from one brand to another, it is recommended that one check the box for a conversion guideline, which is generally provided. If there is no guidance provided, twice as much kosher salt (by volume) to replace table salt serves as a rough estimate. Another reliable technique is to use an equal weight; a gram of kosher salt is equivalent to a gram of table salt. Because of the absence of iodine, kosher salt is preferred by most chefs to iodized salt.

To be or not to be.........a Kosher Hot Dog!

Did you know that the word Kosher actually means "fit to eat"?
What is the difference between Kosher Hot Dogs and Non Kosher Hot Dogs???
As with all Kosher foods, to make them kosher, the production of the hotdogs has been been overseen by a rabbinical authority. They check to make sure that all of the ingredients are Kosher and that the machinery being used has not been used for non - kosher products without being properly cleaned. Typically, Kosher hotdogs are made from beef, turkey or chicken. In the US and Canada, Kosher Hotdogs are generally labeled as such.
One important thing to keep in mind is that there are plenty of "kosher-style" hot dogs. Without valid certification, this doesn't mean anything at all.

Kosher Food, it's for the dogs! No really, it is.....
Most individuals are unaware that there even is such as thing as kosher pet food.
One of the most common questions asked surrounding kosher pet food is why. Many individuals want to know why kosher food even exists and why individuals purchase it for their pets. Jewish dietary laws outline the rules and guidelines for eating kosher food. A large number of Jewish individuals follow those laws because they value the teachings. Many of these individuals feel included to incorporate kosher foods into their life and the life of their pets.
Kosher pet food, really, is there a difference?
Kosher Pet food is treated the same as human kosher food and technically prepared the same way with the same ingredients. The food still comes from an animal that is considered kosher, just like that of human kosher food.
Aside from the original making of kosher pet food, the only other restriction placed on kosher pet food is what is used to serve it. Kosher pet food is not meant for human consumption. This means that the food cannot be mixed or touched with human kosher food or the utensils used to cook it. This means that separate bowls and spooning utensils must be used to serve pet food. Simply washing the utensils is not enough.
I have an infinite love for pets, more specifically the Fido's and Whisker's of this world. so if Kosher food is good enough for me, it is surely good enough for my pet, and even yours!
Happy Feedings to all.
